Bengt Jangfeldt, b. 1948, is an author and associate professor of Slavonic languages. His biography on Axel Munthe, Axel Munthe: The Road to San Michele, was published in 2003 and won the Swedish Academy’s prize for biography. A further large-scale biography, Mayakovksy, about the myth-garlanded Russian poet Mayakovsky, was published in 2007 and was awarded the prestigious August-prize for the best Non-fiction title of the year.

Erik Hemmingsson, born in 1973, is one of Sweden’s leading obesity researchers. He has a PhD in Exercise & Health Sciences at the University of Bristol, as well as in medicin with a focus on clinical obesity research (treatment) at the Karolinska Institute. During the years 2010-2015 he was research group leader at the Obesity Centre at the Karolinska University Hospital, and he is a docent in metabolism. He has been invited as a lecturer to academic conferences around the world, talking in particular about reasons for obesity such as social and psychological factors, stress, mental illness, and the regulation of body weight. He is currently active as a researcher at the Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences in Stockholm.

Stefan Pagréus is a licensed psychologist and runs his own therapy office in Stockholm. He has a background in advertising and marketing as a copywriter. Stefan is also one of the founders of the Swedish fashion company A Day’s March. The Opposite is his first book, in which he shows us how we can use simple principles to tackle the life worries we all suffer from – and how we can feel better.

Rana Eizad is a doctor at St:Görans hospital in Stockholm and runs the popular Instagram account Magdoktorn where she educates people about the stomach in an understandable and fun way, with the aim of increasing people’s knowledge about the stomach. DUMMY TUMMY is her first book, published by Bonnier Fakta.

Linn Asterby is an experienced journalist with a particular interest in science and popular education. Together Bertil and Linn hosts the popular Swedish podcast How to Live Longer and provides training in promotive health work to healthcare professionals.

Medical doctor Bertil Marklund is a former professor of general medicine and public health, an active researcher, the founder of the Swedish health information website 1177, and the internationally bestselling author of The Nordic Guide to Living 10 Years Longer.

Christian Rück is a renowned psychiatrist and a professor of psychiatry at Karolinska Institutet, which is considered one of the world’s top medical universities. He is also an expert in the highly popular Insidan section of the prestigious newspaper Dagens Nyheter, which focuses on everything related to the mind and body. Furthermore, Christian serves as a scientific advisor for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Suicide for Beginners – A social history and modern perspective on life and death, is Christian’s second book, and it was published in January of this year by Albert Bonniers Förlag in Sweden.

Jannete Hentati (b. 1982) grew up in Luleå and now lives in Stockholm after several years in Lysekil. She is a doctor in Social Anthropology at Stockholm University. TAMING A RIVER is her first book.

Lisa dos Santos (b. 1980) is a prosecutor in Sweden who first became widely known when she wrote a debate article about the corruption of defense lawyers who were employed directly by crime organizations and sometimes even helped with the crimes. She has been involved with many high-profile cases in the last few years, and was chosen as one of the Women of the Year in 2022 by newspaper Expressen. THE DEATH GAME is her first book.

Anders Södergård is a qualified doctor and certified fitness instructor. At the age of 25, he was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour and has been careful to supplement medical treatments with physical activity ever since. Anders has previously written two autobiographical books based on his own journey through cancer and recovery.
